Vijay is Managing Director of Cornerstone International Group based in the Mumbai office. Vijay’s primary focus is to build Cornerstone as a leading Executive Search, Board & leadership consulting organisation in India.
Vijay possesses a deep understanding of the economic and industrial landscape and is well-versed in leadership challenges faced by organisations and C suite professionals. Vijay serves as a trusted consultant to boards and senior management in various industries. His consulting work includes Succession planning, Organization restructuring, Executive Evaluations, plus Senior Management & Board level searches. Vijay also heads the Pharma and Life Science practice at the Global level within Cornerstone Group,
Previous Experience
Vijay brings over 30 years of experience in Industry, Consulting & executive search practice. Initially he worked with 3 pharmaceutical companies- Merck, GSK and Alkem laboratories in various executive roles before moving to Executive search as a career.
Initially he worked as Director/Partner in leading local & global search firms and then went on to set up operations of cornerstone international group in India as Founder & managing director.
Academics and Interests
Vijay has an M.Pharm degree from UDCT, Mumbai and an MBA from the reputed JBIMS, Mumbai. He was a guest faculty member with TISS and several other Management institutes in India.
Vijay comes with a unique perspective towards every situation. He is a keen explorer of life with interest in economic affairs. On weekends he enjoys catching up with reading & spending time with his family.
“Career transition and taking ownership” is an area of deep interest for Vijay. He is currently working on a model on career transition in the Indian context with few solid case studies for the benefit of professionals.
