Alok is a Managing Partner based at Cornerstone’s Gurugram office. His primary objective is to enhance and expand our Executive Search and Leadership Consulting Practice
Previous Experience
Prior to Executive Search, Alok worked in the corporate world for 30 years. He made significant contributions to two multinational organizations. He began his career at ICI India, where he dedicated 15 years to sales and commercial functions across different business divisions such as Catalysts, Polyurethanes, and Rubber Chemicals. As he excelled in his role, he eventually became the General Manager and business head of the Catalysts division. Later, due to a global acquisition, he made a transition to Johnson Matthey India. Within Johnson Matthey India, he continued to thrive and was promoted to the position of Managing Director. Over the course of 15 years, he led various business divisions, showcasing his exceptional leadership skills. Notably, he also served as the Country Head for Japan, further expanding his global experience and expertise.
Academics and Interests
Alok completed his Management studies from BITS Pilani in 1987.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Alok is an active Angel Investor and Professional Coach, leveraging his experience and business acumen to guide start-ups towards growth. A passionate traveller, he has explored over 40 countries, fostering a diverse perspective and deep appreciation for different cultures and societies. Alok’s wanderlust fuels his curiosity and broadens his understanding of the world.
